The Cybertruck is such an ugly, late-to-the-party piece of garbage...I can’t wait for it to be a huge flop when it finally does show up.

I think when something this dumb is caused by driver inability/inattention, the insurance company shouldn’t have to pay out. The driver SHOULD be fucked.
Exactly. Guarantee these will all be online soon. Which I guess is somewhat funny, but the part that grosses me out is knowing that someone definitely was driven around in that car right afterward. Nope.
I like your sense of humor and would enjoy grabbing a drink.
I agree with you and am wondering why there isn’t a push for EVs with smaller packs that can charge at the high rates. For instance, 150 mile range, but charge from 20-80% in like 5 minutes. That’s the recipe we need. No need to tote around a 400 mile pack when most days only need 40-60 miles between full charge…
Swap those nasty Walmart hubcaps for some recent Honda alloys with better offset and it’s an instant upgrade for me. I bet they’d get more than the price of the alloys if they just did the swap and took new photos.
If you can’t tell that a car is de-catted after taking one whiff from nearby, you need to take a COVID test.
Maybe Tesla could claw back some market share by redesigning the ancient Model S that is almost indistinguishably different from the one they introduced in 2011. And also then redesigning everything else. I literally can only think of one reason to buy a Tesla right now...the charging network...and if you can charge…
ALSO - this presumes that all cars need to be replaced with massive battery packs with 200-300 mile range. I would argue that as EV adoption progresses, and charging infrastructure improves (shorter charge times), many families will end up with “short range cars” and “long range cars”, which will further help…
My first manual transmission car was a 1990 Integra LS (hatch), which was totaled far too early in a snowstorm in 1998. This has me thinking all sorts of things...
Why they didn’t lead with this car, I’ll never know (and don’t give me reasons because it doesn’t matter...they should’ve released this first and avoided all the bad press)
Tyler the Creator disagrees about the Camargue. Or maybe he thinks it’s ugly and that’s why he has one?
My brain keeps making the Hyundai Lavita into the “Latvia”...
Seems like the card reader would be such a simple solution... Does anyone know why this isn’t already in place? Are they trying to get around CC fees? Or simply hoping to data mine via their apps? Seems like they could still get sufficient metadata from Visa/Mastercard, no?
This Skeffles person has the wrongest of wrong takes. Totally missing the point that this was an emergency. Just enable the GPS temporarily then, locate the vehicle, then shut it off again. How is that even complicated?
I’m suggesting that this would be offset by simplifying the drivetrain by removing the transfer case and front diff. This would throw a small battery pack under the floor and an electric motor up front. I’m sure it would cost a little more overall, but it solves the towing and range problems currently faced by pure…
But this still doesn’t address the towing/road trip scenario that all EV trucks are struggling with...
Matt Farah needs to park this next to his new Boxster.
Can someone with access to GM please ask them why they abandoned the hybrid drivetrain for these big trucks? First, they only put them in the short wheelbase versions, and they never made them plug-in hybrids like the Volt. I’m hoping they use the new e-Ray technology and put a small battery pack in future…
Ha! Do you have any concept how many bazillions of dollars this would cost?
