New interior looks like a Civic/Corolla mashup.  No thanks.

Paging @AgingWheels

Let’s hope electric scooters catch on in Paris, where hooligans on scooters with loud pipes are more annoying than any other vehicle out there.

Sounds like they nailed it. Let the Corvette evolve into a world fighter and give the Camaro some room to breathe as the remaining front-engine rear-drive muscle car.  There was way too much overlap before.  This is super cool.

SIX GRAND?  Oof.

Any chance there is a Total Running Costs over that 400k mile period?  Car payments, insurance, repairs, consumables (tires, etc.), and electricity?  I’d love to see how that info compares to, say, a Honda Odyssey with high miles.

Why is it so important to measure towing and/or long distance travel with electric cars? Anyone with enough disposable income to afford an electric car has enough income to buy a cheap gasoline truck for towing, or rent something for a long drive.  This “litmus test” of sorts just doesn’t make any sense to me.  People

I feel like $750k for that is a BARGAIN compared to what you get from the fancy brands.

THESE are the stats that will warp your mind:

As a person who has driven one twice as a rental, as well as a Ranger and a Tacoma, I can tell you this truck is in last place among those three. The tech is garbage (and I really don’t care about tech), driving quality is the worst of the bunch, and the looks are polarizing (most don’t like how long it looks).  I

Wouldn’t so much of this be way easier to solve if the AWD was just electric at the back and no prop shaft at all?

Nice.

Because I had a 1999 CR-V and always wanted to do this.  There is no way you could replicate this for the same money (remember that time is money).  Sure, you could slowly build something similar for slightly less cash, but it would take you months of weekend wrenching.  This is ready to party (at least it would seem

The Granada JUMPED out of the screen at me. My mom drove one from just before I was born until we “upgraded” to a Dodge Caravan in 1986.  My parents’ first BRAND NEW car.

Maybe they can buy back all of the shuttered Hummer dealerships that have tried hiding the “H” all these years.

Sadly, true.  Hence the lack of a Honda in my driveway right now.  Two Chevys instead.

this was the last of the reasonable looking CRVs. I had a 1999 from 2004-2015...was terrific. Sold with 178k miles for $3500. Pics from my Craigslist ad:

As a person who has driven one of these twice now as a rental (put about 300 miles of seat time), I can confirm these are not as good as the Ranger or Tacoma.  The interior features are cheap and terrible and there is a MASSIVE dead spot on center in the steering (it’s horrible on the highway).  I would never purchase

In a few decades this thing will be legitmately collectible! Will people lust after a 1999 Camry in 2049 the way we lust after early 70s Datsun 510s and things like that?  It seems weird to think of it that way, but that’s what we’re talking about.  We’ll all be riding along in windowless flying cars by then and some
