I’m the opposite.  I think the E36 is the perfect combo.  Almost looks a little vintage, but has the conveniences of newer cars, while still being very analog and easy enough to work on.  Had a 94 325is and would like to get another one.  M3 this time...would like M3/4/5 most.

Would absolutely NOT want to tow with this instead of one with an auto.

Which is why EVs aren’t currently for everyone. In the same logic, some people in cities don’t have cars at all because parking is so challenging. In fact, I’d argue that if you live in a very dense location like that, you don’t need a car at all...walk/bike to mass transit and save the hassle. If you need a car, use

Anyone griping about charging does NOT own/operate an EV or PHEV.  I have had a Volt for 4 years now and have used public charging maybe 25 times.  The rest of the time it charges on a 120V outlet while sitting in my driveway.  I have a colleague that recently got a Model 3.  Adding fast charging would’ve required a

Isn’t it weird that Tesla has open sourced their tech, but they won’t help owners deal with repairs outside the Tesla network?

Why don’t the rear windows follow the lines of the indentations in the giant C-pillar?  This is awful.

NP simply because when you add Quantum and Syncro and Wagon, there can’t be more than like 10 of these in the entire US....I mean, right?

The fact that this company even exists is proof that the economy is too frothy and we’re in for a recession soon.  You heard it here first.

Interior looks good!  Even the gauges!  I like it.

Same.  I have a Volt and never feel bad driving it around.  I feel a little guilty in our Suburban because it’s such a guzzler, but it’s not an Escalade...which I would definitely feel like a douche in.

If driving the car makes you feel self-conscious or self-righteous, it’s a luxury car.  The Mazda 6 does not exhibit these traits.  A BMW/MB/Audi/Ferrari/Lambo/Bentley/Rolls ALL make you feel like a douche.  I drove a BMW for a while.  Nobody knew it cost me $5600...but I always felt like a douche.

I don’t want it...but that’s a Nice Price.

None of this matters when the drivers are robots.

Maybe an old car that looks good on the outside, but has secret problems lurking inside could be an “avocado” since you can buy one from the store that looks feels great and 2 days later when you want to make guac, it’s shit inside.

Car hobbies bleed money.  $10k isn’t even that bad.  Get on with it.

3rd Gear:  manufacturers need to cut trim levels and also make cars more distinctive.  I used to be able to tell an A4 from an A6 from 50 feet away...  Now the A6 and A8 are almost indistinguishable, and the A4 looks like a Jetta.  WTF.  I drive a Gen 1 Volt and that thing is unmistakable.  I never have a hard time

$3800 is exactly what I paid for my 1987 Jetta GL in 1995 with 138k on the clock. This car is nicer looking inside and out and it’s older than me by a year!  NICE PRICE for the Rad Woods.

This will be very interesting if she pulls a Miley Cyrus in 5 years and goes on a full bender, gets a bunch of tattoos and “grows up” suddenly.  I’m here for it lol

Just think about cars from 2009.  Most didn’t even have a USB port, and they *very* few had a way to connect to your phone.  When you get in a car from 2009 it almost feels ancient.  Think about this 10 years from now...it will only be worse because phones are more integrated into the car.  I know that manufacturers

Infotainment will be the thing that kills used cars 10-15 years from now.  What happens when you go to buy a 2019 car in 2029 and it has no idea what to do with your iPhone XXS Max that probably won’t have any connectors at all?  All this shit will be completely useless.
