OK that’s fair.  I just took your post to mean that EVs are horrible polluters....sorry for jumping ahead.

haha - except most people don’t offroad them.  Hopefully they will depreciate like rocks.

You can also turn the radio off and back on to get it back.  Also, did you know you can use the wheel functions to change channels even if you’re not displaying the radio?

I meant “Suck it up, tell them to shush, and if they get upset, so be it”

Ugh - you’re one of *those* people.  Look dude, if we increase electrical demand and power companies have reasons to invest in cleaner power sources, they can make the business case.  Coal is at the end of its rope too.  Just because some EVs get power from coal-fired plants doesn’t mean we should stop developing

Maybe these will be a good deal after the 3-year lease is up.

This is all horseshit.  There is no way to shush a person without coming off as a bit of a dick.  Just suck it up and deal with it.

I feel like if we all suddenly stopped eating meat (like if it were outlawed), PETA would find a reason to be upset that un-slaughtered domesticated animals then were allowed to get old and die of natural causes only to be eaten by scavengers...

This car is actually a really great buy on the used market, which is why I have one.  In 2015, it was a 2013 Volt or a 2014 Civic...the Volt had 5 yrs/50k left on the Voltec warranty, and I’ve averaged 80 mpg over that time, so it was worth it.  Also, how often are you hauling around more than 4 people?  If you have a

This is true. Obviously GM acknowledged it in the Gen 2 model. I still don’t think it’s as horrible of a situation as people say. Obviously for people with 3+ kids under the age of 12 (potential front seat sitters), it’s a different story....

These are true statements.  But it still wins the day as a commuter car for getting around suburban Chicago.

My kids are OK in the back, and I’m 6'2" and 250 lbs. For long trips, we take the Suburban. I agree the back isn’t great for adults.

Do you drive a Corolla?  Seriously though, the Gen 1 Volt is a very good looking car.  Mine is 5 years old and I still get compliments.  Gen 2 Volt is much less interesting, I agree.

My kids LOVE the split back seat.

My Volt will be one of those cars everyone wants when armageddon happens.

Press “TP” on the dash.  It means Time Program.  Surprisingly easy.

As a 2013 Volt owner, I can get behind this comment.

As a previous owner of a 2002 Mazda Protege5, this makes me really sad. I would’ve loved to get another Mazda hatch after my Volt, but NO WAY with this piece.

Oh, and if the Civic Si is out because of manual, how about Acura ILX?

Do NOT buy a Mini if you want reliable. It’s a BMW. Just get a Civic Sport or Si and call it a day.  Next in line would be something from Ford, but really, just get the Civic.
