That’s asinine. I just drove a base Jetta at 80 mph on the highway and got 38 mpg without breaking a sweat. Buying old isn’t the answer.

How about the Energi? Isn’t that full EV sometimes? I like the idea of EV range for my morning drive to/from the train station, with the option of gas range for road trips with my family.
Fair points. I haven’t driven the Hyundai. Review made it sound ‘meh’. I like the C-Max....you’re right about that. I should drive one. It’s huge inside.
So, basically: For now, buy a Volt because nothing seems to really be winning this Hybrid challenge, and at least it can go 40 miles or so on electric, and manages 38 mpg on gas.
All MOT does is kill used car values. Just look at how cheap old British cars are. They get to a point where “cheap transportation” doesn’t pass inspection. That said, I agree that non-roadworthy cars are sometimes an issue. I believe police have the authority to issue a ticket if your car is in sad enough shape in…
There is literally NOTHING here that makes me want to have sex. Or even BE here.
No way. Corvettes are WAY too common to buy a shitty one and fix it.

$13k? Sounds like a SMOKIN’ deal to me.
“naania”...that’s what got me. Nice.
I assume this was a car used for Exotic Rentals or something? How else could you rack up this many miles (18,600 mi/year). No one dailies a Ferrari for a hyper-commute, do they? I mean, WTF?
Don’t you think that most people that actually want to go off road frequently will just buy a Wrangler? Sure, they are more expensive, but also FAR more capable. I think you’ve found the reality here...this is the Jeep to compete with RAV4s and HR-Vs... The Jeep you buy for your 16 year old daughter because it’s not…
The Simpsons is still a show?
That’s my guess too. I had an S13 240SX that was still my daily, but after the mods/work, it wasn’t a great daily anymore. It had no AC, no rear seats, and showing up to professional meetings driving the thing was a huge joke. My guess is that this guy grew up and just wants to move on. I think the car looks well done…
