I've been rewatching it lately and basically been laughing constantly aside from the most disturbing moments (and even those are often hilarious, like Leland's psychosis)

Twin Peaks was "rarely funny"????

Well yeah, a thing that was clearly made to be uncomfortable to watch is uncomfortable to watch?? Like, I'm a fan of Lena Dunham and she has some good points as usual, but this is like complaining about a Lars Von Trier movie being depressing

I think a lot of the criticism about Zelda losing her independence after the reveal in Wind Waker is kinda off. I mean, it's the only game where Zelda actually gets to fight Ganondorf with Link for the sickest final boss battle ever!

So… Did you actually PLAY Silent Hill 2?? I mean, I love Heather and all the pregnancy imagery in SH3 too, but it's silly to dismiss 2 which is overall a better game. They're really two different looks at the same subject matter - sexual neuroses, from the male perspective in 2 and the female in 3. 2 gets an edge by

See, the problem here is that Kubrick made actual art while King makes genre trash. Keeping the themes and emotions of the story between the lines is what an actual artist does, and of course Kubrick reduced the ghosts to more of a metaphorical element - ghosts are lame. It's a mistake to compare them this way.

I can't help but notice an eerie similarity between reviews spawned by the current "music writers taking radio pop for teens seriously" trend and Patrick Bateman's music monologues

Andersson reveals in the DVD commentary that the people in the background are basically 2D wooden dolls moved with a system of ropes and pulleys. Both of his surrealist tableau movies have lots of these elaborate special effects carefully constructed to make tiny background details just right, which is one of the

"The Impression of J. Temperance" is another great The Fall horror story.

And it's the only thing in the article that's singled out for negative comments too? Seriously, ridiculous. It's a great album and anyone who's actually listened to it would call it a big step towards maturity musically and lyrically.

"…for the most part the record finds Tyler drifting into “Kill people, burn shit, fuck school” self-parody."

I went to high school with the guy who made it and played the original 2D one when it came out! So glad to see him make it big & go viral like this

I really disagree, while I liked Goblin a little bit better there's a ton of interesting musical and lyrical content here. It rewards repeated listens more than his previous albums too.

Thank you for writing this so I don't have to.

I personally do like some old Aerosmith, but I really, really despise "Love in an Elevator" SO UNBELIEVABLY MUCH.

I want to go on this just for a chance to see Smash Mouth eat breakfast eggs

But… does the group make it to REGIONALS?? No wait don't spoil it for me

Eh, I dunno. In my eyes he's always been more of a "scumbag".
