Yes. I have and I do give a version of that. Usually the same way. I throw some irony at them, they get pissed, then I explain why and, they get it. They don’t like it. But they get it.

And, for me, the action of “don’t be a dick” includes not denigrating others or outright saying how much you hate them all as a group of people.
