Oh look, another movie about how nice everyone was to the Jews and how the Holocaust redeems the lives of non-Jews. If you believe pop culture it’s a wonder the Nazis manage to exterminate anyone what with all the Gentiles shoving each other out of the way to help out.

Just think about all the mass murder going on in the Middle East and their struggles, and realize you still have it pretty good here. Syria is being bombed right now.

Different strokes for different folks? I would rather mildly poison myself than go to a death metal show just as much as I would for a country music show.

I always get weirded out when people do this. Like...come on, you’re just trying to be fake-provocative. Has anyone, in the history of ever, demanded that Internet strangers explain a musician’s catalog to them and walked away with a newfound taste for said music?

Well, she probably wasn’t too smart to begin with if she’s using Flakka. Also that giant cross is quite the fashion statement.

I’m neither and I know how it works. A living, breathing baby has to suffer lifelong consequences because of this woman’s actions. It really doesn’t matter what her intentions were.

I agree with you. I believe mental illness is to blame for her actions. This occurred in a county approximately 45 minutes away from Nashville, where there is a Planned Parenthood that does provide early abortions.

It’s possible that there were roadblocks too, but I cannot imagine anyone doing what she did to her

At 25 weeks a fetus is pretty much a child. It’s even somewhat able to live outside the womb as this story shows.

So, the baby is not disfigured and permanently damaged?

Did you even read the story? It’s a baby. It LIVED. And it’s disfigured and will have health problems for the rest of it’s life. It is NOT a fetus!

It’s ok to hate both the act and the systemic forces that gave rise to the act at the same time. This woman (let’s skip the age question since it feels a tad like a version of a Monty Python sketch) should have had options available to her from the moment she decided to have sex in the first place. That fact there

I have no idea why she decided to go that route. I’m sure she felt scared and desperate. All women with unwanted pregnancies feel that way. It sucks. Does not make what she did to her child ok.

Yes, I saw that. That doesn’t mean she didn’t have access. She is not a minor. The counseling part is bullshit, but again, a roadblock. I don’t know what her financial situation is, she likely isn’t rich, but she does appear to have been employed at Amazon so had an income to fund it. I don’t agree with how

I think it’s important to note that this woman is not a young girl. She is now 32. I’m very pro choice but we are deceiving ourselves in saying she didn’t have options. This was not her only option. And now there’s a child who will suffer for the rest of it’s life.

If you are dressed in a nice suit you shouldn’t be carrying change around like a peasant!

If you expect to often carry change in your suit, maybe invest in a wallet with a change pouch or a separate coinpurse.

Eh, there have been so many performative allyship fails over the past week - see the Safety Pin fallout, for example - that I can’t even be bothered to criticize this dude in earnest. I just don’t have it in me.

Totally unnecessary post and totally unhelpful to everything that’s going on right now. We don’t need to keep dividing ourselves. He made a pretty awesome statement and said that he stood with us. I don’t know what your fucking problem is, but if you keep this up for the next four years, it will not make anything

Maybe I’m missing something, but I feel like this post is a weird attempt to take issue with Falahee’s statement despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with it.
