I liked his character because it reminded me of kids who escaped the ghetto and poverty with their brains and teachers pushing them. Who got into good colleges and universities. And flamed out hard because they simply had no idea what it meant to be a success or the hard work of being their own support system. No…

I got tired of the show but liked the Lip character because he showed clearly how for some people, a cycle of failure exists because they’re afraid of what change and separation from their old life, neighborhood, and even family would mean. Not to mention if you fail, no one expects anything of you.

The ONLY reason I don’t mind it is because you see this fucked-up mentality in poor communities a lot. Where maybe one member of an entire family manages to make it but then has to basically move away from the family and old neighborhood to keep from falling or being pushed into failure again.

Mindy Kaling is human garbage so why are we surprised her brother is, too?

All they do is fuck up. Watching the show is hoping the best but knowing they’ll fuck it up.
