i’m right there with you. it really is an unfortunate trend that more MMOs have pretty much removed the need for grouping except for endgame content or certain instances. But, that trend is what the majority of players wanted, and so once again the minority loses out.

yeah... you must not play trials. or very much crucible. if there’s just one player using it, maybe you’ll be fine. if the entire other team is using it and you’re not, you’d better hope they are utter garbage because even an OK team will destroy you that way.
