That’s a pretty common story for classic cars, honestly. Someone wants one, buys one - puts a ton of money into restoring it... and then finds that living with even a properly sorted and well running classic car is an uncomfortable hassle. So it sits in the garage for the rest of its life.

Those are the family cars. The vette/porsche are for meeting up with the boys. It’s not supposed to make sense when you have more money than sense.

Well, domestic automakers love them and it’s profitable because there’s still a 25% tariff on import pickup from foreign competitors. I recall that South Korea agreed to a revised “Free Trade” Agreement with the US back in 2018 which extended the tariff until 2040's.

Eh, I’ve got a vehicle that does quite nicely off road and doesn’t look like shit. Current-gen Tacoma, arguably the only decent looking truck available in the US at the moment. Most of the rest look like cinderblocks with wheels, or angry cinderblocks with wheels.

Because “Millennials be shopping” is such a reliable, go-to trope to smokescreen the stagnation of wages while costs are skyrocketing.
