This is *not* true. The sampling theory, i.e. Nyquist’s theorem, states that in order to reconstruct perfectly the original signal from the discrete signal, the original signal must be sampled > 2 times of the highest frequency, AND you have to use the sync(x) function to reconstruct the original signal.
