That’s a pretty common story for classic cars, honestly. Someone wants one, buys one - puts a ton of money into restoring it... and then finds that living with even a properly sorted and well running classic car is an uncomfortable hassle. So it sits in the garage for the rest of its life.

What exactly was restored 5 years ago? It has no top, missing paint, dull chrome, a dirty engine bay, and an interior that looks like it has been sitting in a barn for 20 years.

It’s might be worth it. But, I find the claims dubious. Who restores a vehicle at a respected shop (and presumably pays for it) only to crappily store it in a barn? If all it needs is a battery, why didn’t the seller buy one and prove that it runs? What else did the cheap ass seller refuse to do?
