Of course, all test drives MUST be pointless, gas-wasting trips to nowhere. God forbid they actually be a useful, real-world test - like a period of driving, followed by a short stop, followed by a short drive back.

They DID have an emergency restyling of this vehicle right after it was inroduced and they realized what a mistake they’d made.

It doesn’t matter what the car is “worth” to someone else.  What matters is what it’s worth to YOU.

If they had done each repair when it was first required, it would have been much less of a hit, and they wouldn’t have been using the total cost of the deferred maintenance as an excuse to get a new car.
