The PT Cruiser was a fantastic car. Unique looking, practical and reliable. They even made a sporty version with a turbo motor and manual transmission!
Vacuum operated windshield wipers.
“cars arent designed to be crashed, neglected, then repaired. they are built to be consumed and used in the perfect environment. 70 degrees and sunny with a south west breeze no more than 8 mph when the planets are alilgned.”
“no way any OEM would do a janky repair to their car” The Home Depot strapping would like a word...
IndyCar (CART) was at the top of their game in the mid-90's - top talent from all over the world, a terrifically diverse selection of tracks, and cars that were damn fun to listen to and look at. And Tony George ruined it.
I can do you one better. I once saw the Punisher head that was colored like a blue lives matter flag......... but it ALSO had Trump's hair.

So like Tesla?
I mean it’s my job to cover news. This isn’t just car news you want to see, it’s all car news.
One of the worse things I see in this report is the ignoring of the construction workers. I’m a good enough engineer to know I don’t know everything. A guy with a high school education that has actually done stuff with his hands and not just on a computer knows a lot more about how things actually work than I do. Some…
ALSO! small history lesson. Battery cars actually blew up before the ICE powered ones did. in the early days they were more reliable and sold more. but batteries had their limits (much like today,) so the tech was passed on for gas power that had much more long term progress.
Interesting question. I would say that the difference between a Model T and a 1948 Ford Super Deluxe was a pretty big jump. Maybe car development slowed down because they were simply pretty much good enough. Aircraft were not good enough. Also, their role in the military, and working toward air supremacy, is a really…
