Honestly, if you're renting, and there's a good chance you ay be out of the place in 1-2 years, I'd say don't bother. How much "space" are you going to actually gain by hanging your TV? I agree it looks nice, but you're going to have to patch up all the holes you make when you leave, or they'll take it out of your

It might help if you explain why it is you are considering making this switch. Specifically, what advantages do you expect to gain?

Ask Rupert Murdoch, that's exactly how they built The Daily :)

Unless you don't mind waiting in a 2 hour line, skip the Empire State Building and head to the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller center) for better views and shorter lines (last time I went, anyway - I think they take reservations). In fact, if you don't mind waiting in line, you should go to the Shake Shack for burgers.

"This silence is deafening, where can I get some earplugs?"

If I have custom MX records or A records set up, will those automatically transfer too? Or do I have to set them up? I remember having to jump through a bunch of hoops when I set up Google Apps for a domain for email only (not web, etc.)

Hah, yeah I noticed that too. [rdd.me]

I never had this problem when I lived in a doorman building (everything gets left with the valet desk), but now that I live in a single family home, it's become a problem.

This wouldn't help with packages that require a signature. Even though I have a small vestibule closed in by a storm door in front of my house, UPS wouldn't leave a Macbook I ordered from Amazon because Amazon shipped it with signature required.

Yeah, if a receipt has a bar code or has some formatting that needs to be preserved, i just save it as a PDF and upload to evernote.

Did you *really* think they were looking for someone in upstate New York?

"Baseball APP is the best app..."

I realize it's early to say for sure, but anyone know if you can avoid the paywall situation by not updating to 3.0?

Sometimes, it's not just better, but cheaper to hire someone to do a job for you even if you could do it yourself.
