If I knew how (or had the power to), I'd totally promote this comment. +1

Yep, I was going to say the same thing. I like using matches better than toothpicks.

Butter and toast it, then eat it before it gets cold.

@mrjeremiahross: Clicking on ads with the intention of earning the website money will only directly increase revenue for websites that run cost-per-click (CPC) ads... but the industry's term for what you describe is "click fraud", and the big CPC networks have algorithms in place to detect it. Click fraud can get

Systems like these look great as a way of clearing the clutter and keeping things neat for a few weeks, but stuffing them in a folder on the back of the closet door just moves the clutter out of sight where you'll forget about it within a few weeks.

A four-finger swipe might make more sense if the rear of the device was touch-sensitive... but then the gesture might be more prone to accidental use.

@LTA: Who would you sell it to?

@WhiskeyTab: I think it's pretty smart. They know there's pent-up demand, so they can easily get a bunch of people to buy CDMA phones that will be considered outdated in June... and many of them will jump to the LTE version whenever it comes out, even if they have to pay some kind of early upgrade fee.

My grandfather used to tell me this story that is most certainly greatly exaggerated but nonetheless worth a chuckle. While traveling on business, he arrived without a reservation and found that all the hotels he usually stayed at were booked. To the concierge:

Every time, without fail, they extended it for another 12 weeks. I ended up canceling because I never read it, but never paid more than

I haven't found a good and inexpensive laminating solution for mine, I end up reprinting it every 3 months when it starts to get worn down and the bar codes stop scanning. I tried these laminating pouches made by Avery or whatever, but they don't stay stuck shut. Anyone have a better way?

@scottmkelley: I've found these work about half the time, some readers can't pick up the bar code.

I wish there was an option in iPhoto like "Use system trash" so that you'd only have to empty the one in the dock. Having that option on could even augment the alert box to include something like "The trash includes deleted items from iPhoto"

@acemannw: A lot of it comes from idiotic journalists who need to churn out eye-catching "green tips" to generate readership, regardless of whether or not they are true.

@Mr B Natural: I'm with you. I haven't seen a TV commercial in years at this point.

I hate, hate, hate ads. You can take my non-personifiable "personal" information (e.g. zip, age, gender) but please spare me the ads.
