@dgoeck1: yeah this stuff will be pricey, but I'm thinking of continuous cost of ammo and good paintball equipment, which too be honest I haven't priced in a long time.

@dgoeck1: yes but.... you also don't have the cost and clean up associated with paintball, and odds are it is a lot safer(for kids). Sure paintball would be more viseceral, but as a cheap alternative, this seems very cool. Also so sort of rumble vest or pads could probably be thrown in to give a little jolt :)
@jayntampa: I agree but from metacritic standpoint the number of good games (green ones in 2010) on psp and ds is a lot closer t I would have thought. I was also under the impression that psp was under supported( I still think it is for probably the reasons I mentioned).
@jayntampa: that's what i was saying.
@buckleyneko1: I was thinking of just telling cameron not to make any more movies, but yeah go ahead and make the tech, JC.... just um don't try to write.... have a seat over there with Mr Lucas, and a nice latte :)
@Zecomm: most games this gen are between 8-15 hours, Not sure where you are getting 4 hours.
@jayntampa: This isn't really true. There are tons of good games on psp, but I will admit that there seems to be less promoted releases(that I'm hearing about anyway) in the last couple years... Patapon3 and MGS and GT are the last big ones I recall...
@dracosummoner: digg, and quite a few other sites, use a voting system to rank stories and comments. Digg (up) for promotion, bury for well burying stuff that you think is a waste of time,thoughtless, pointless, etc.
@Erwin: pretty much best of both worlds... love their reviews.... the fact they show how much they played, what modes, and what platforms, and go over all the key things that they noted, and leave it to you weigh those as they strike you, instead of a very arbitrary number score, that usually expires after the hype…
@dracosummoner: I agree... I think the method of digg works well, if it's not a mob rule... what you are suggesting I've wanted for quite some time.
@TaylorEatWorld: not sure if this is place, but perhaps a tally system for the number of times someone gets promoted leading to a star, or some other 'thaddaboy/girl/robot/zombie/alien/clown' bannana sticker like badge?
I hope it's better than the cartoon and animated comic bits. The writing in the animated comic was decent but the art work just didn't work for me... really turned me off of the game until I saw the game in action....
@Subsenix:
@Sleet: I think you underestimate how old the ps3 tech is now....you have to also look at it as engineering and product line evolution. I.e. maximizing your sdk/product line(ps2 games and ps3 engines and assets of existing franchises).
@Sleet: it's true the 3ds is barely going to look better than the psp, and will use the horse power to do 3d.
@iTravis: oh gawker was messed up yesterday and on top of that they were reposting these posts as updates due to E3 revelations :)
@FrankieViturello: I did not like harrison. I did not get a good vibe from him. Just an embodiment, good or bad, of the arrogant suit out to make a profit.
From what I understand the ps2 and ps3 were designed so that developers had more access to code"to the metal" which meant more complexity and more difficult learning curve.
@iTravis: I also think that both 360 and ps3 have MUST play exclusives, that warrant the purchase regardless if you have one already... But if you have enough games to play already, 300 bucks + games can get pretty spendy fast.
@pridex: I don't think anyone of you get this. He isn't giving his opinion he's trying to relate the things that he has heard from his Japanese friends.
