@chicanowey: what? are you kidding?
@chicanowey: what? are you kidding?
didn't system shock 1 have a bunch of innovations over games of its time both in graphics, polygons and interactivity? List seems to be missing a few other classics as well, but good job.
@fronsac: for japan maybe, but Socom and killzone 3 support is a pretty big deal, as well as RE5. Sorcery is the biggest brand new IP for Move, but I think it's a fairly good spread of games that cover most of the bases and show Move isn't just for party games(but is also great for party games too).
@clownshoes69: a lot of people were disappointed, but i enjoyed it, and y Gf at the time loved watching me play it.
@CalebAcheron: you do realize Move is not MS kinect right? Move is not as sexy as kinect, but for something like this motion controls would make it very immersive. In fact I think Kinect would benefit from a game like this. Something more than jumping and or doing interactions like the pseye right now.
@nharde20: not to mention sound design is a huge and under appreciated part of games and movies...literally sucks the punch right out of even the most impressive pyro-spectacle...
@Wesley Planck: how was the lag? I recall playing the pseyetoy game that was somewhat similar ( I think it was a skiing type game or snowboarding?) years ago and it was great fun... too bad my living room was too dim to for eyetoy to work as well at home. I'm hoping the ir sensor really does fix all that.
@Private_Bundy: I'm liking alan wake a lot, and find they do change up the combat a bit, at least more than i thought they would, and more than gears of war does ... but compared to the Bright Falls tv show the voice acting in the game is just horrible I hate alan wake's annoying narration, his wife, and Al Peschi,…
@dgoeck: I have to agree that the ps3eye can do most of this, though slightly worse, but somethings slightly better ( I believe the pseye is 120fps) .
@Jon: l4d2 looks a lot better than l4d1. They optimized a bunch of things and l4d2 looks as if it could be a new engine(though i do not think it actually is). I'm guessing they are improving source engine every game that comes out.
@Hammo2: I was just kidding as it reminded me of the fact I do have that and many would wonder why:)
@Vorpal: I loved shattered memories, but sadly it wasn't very scary at all. ...but those guys got what the other's didn't: that silent hill is about pushing psychological horror(the most disturbing part of the story was the way they handled Dahlia and Harry for me something unheard of in games before), not just…
@FascistFlakes: FYI FPS with guns that hits close to silent hill: Cyrostasis. Truly a beautiful game. I'd prefer something more like penumbra though.
@Hammo2: I can top that by a mile in the wrong direction...... I have a sealed copy of Daikatana...
@SamuriFerret: hmm only heard a few seconds... sounds really uninspired to me... I'm not british but it does sound generic british to me too.
@stone500: I liked some of the creature designs in homecoming and overall if it wasn't silent hill it would have been a top notch horror game, but yes... far too SAW flavored in the ending.. really unimaginative levels and for the most part they didn't push the horror genre into new psychologically more disturbing…
@jacobgermain: I very much have a similar point of view and it's very frustrating to have people not understanding the motives and perspectives of others and the biases we carry(though also perfectly understandable).
I want a low brow version of this which is just the pseye camera/chat with 3 -4 'dance critics' criticzing/griefing your attempts to dance to whatever they chose to dj :)
@Chicken Pawks: I agree. Never underestimate taking one modestly successful idea from one market and changing it in the right way and pitching it to another, even larger market.
@Swirlbeard: I'm pretty sure the pseye can indeed do 3d (zdepth) though I can't imagine it's as good as kinect.. I believe I saw a youtube video somewhere showing it maybe even in the eyetoy..... obviously it can do 3d with the balls (i.e. your hands relative positions)
