The bills need a stipulation that if that biker gets run over during a filter or a split that it isnt on the car. I can check a blind spot and in less than a second a bike can be right beside me.
When I lived in Texas, lane-splitting (or lane sharing) was not specifically illegal, which meant you could do it, but an officer couldn’t write you a ticket for doing it. They could, however, write you a ticket for reckless driving if they deemed appropriate.
Counterpoint: Motorcycles suck and lane-splitting (call it what it is) is obnoxious and dangerous to cars and trucks who are changing lanes in slow moving traffic.
