Nope, North Bay! But I was with you SD folks in spirit. :-)

Same! Our speakers included two Latinx community leaders, a Black female minister, a drag queen, and there was a Native American drum group who played. It was so inclusive and supportive of all who stand to lose something under this administration.

Preach

You are a good dude.

Same at ours. Several of the speakers gave specific shout outs to the men who attended and highlighted the importance of everyone’s voices speaking out in defense of human rights.

No worries, man. Thanks for being civil. :-)

Thankfully no. I don’t think I could deal with that.

So, going straight for #notallmen, huh?

There were tons of men and boys at ours too! Great to see everyone working together.

Oh, you.

Sounds like you need to educate yourself, friend. And yes, at my local march, all people (not just women) were not only welcome but encouraged to attend.

Uh, yes, yes, and also yes? Why would you assume I’ve only cared about these issues since November?

Or for the past year and some change since his campaign began.

Holy shit, he can go or not go, but why doesn’t he want YOU to attend?!

Yep, and it’s only going to get worse. My husband and I were hoping to buy a house sometime in the next 2-3 years. Looks like that’s not going to happen, possibly not even within 10 years depending on how badly this administration fucks up the economy and the housing market.

Why not “give him a chance”? Because he has not hidden the fact that he is a sexual predator, a misogynist, racist, classist demagogue. Because he has already taken steps toward repealing the ACA without so much of a HINT of a replacement, because he has already taken steps to deregulate the financial institutions

Jesus fuck. Not nearly as grating as finding a divorce lawyer.

It’s already so bad after day one. I can only imagine how fucked up our lives will be in six months, a year, four years. All we can do is stay pissed off, like you said, and not give up.

Exactly. And I think he knows that, which actually makes it even worse that he won’t go with me. I honestly don’t know what his aversion is, but if it’s some stupid macho thing about not wanting to be a dude at a “women’s” event then he and I will have to have some serious talks.

Guys, I am really bothered by my husband today. I’m going to my local women’s march and I asked him if he wanted to go. His reason for saying no is that he wants to go to the car dealership to look at a vehicle, and when I pressed him on it he said very mockingly “Do you need a man to speak out for your rights, or can
