I'm not sure if that would've been possible in its 8 episodes. I get where you're coming from, but I detest watching police work on television, so I'm biased. Plus, 3/4 of the show is presented as a recollection from Rust/Marty. I'm just not sure if it would've been necessary.

This movie predated the "lol so randum and awkarddd XD" cultural phase. Or rather pushed it into the mainstream. I still have a fondness for it, but only because I still remember how the world was before Napoleon Dynamite.

3 hours? Why not milk it for everything it's worth and run it as a series on HBO or something? AMC's ZombieDrama seems to be doing well enough.
