I’ve noticed that, too, and maybe it’s because her career is really taking off, plus she has two young kids. But overall the whole show just seems tired. Unless they have a decent guest and/or an interesting movie, it’s not really worth it anymore. Jason does his best but it’s not enough for him to try to carry it

This is truly the darkest timeline: we got a Jared Leto Joker but never a Crispin Glover one.

I do love that, yeah, nobody anywhere gives a shit about him. If it was another actor with the same successes and fame, the story would have been that the movie WAS squashed by the Oscar winner. But no, Hollywood also thinks he sucks and his joker was lame.

Uncut Jims 2 is a decent Office porn parody, but then each one is diminishing returns. I strongly advise skipping “Uncut Jims 13: According to Uncut Jim”

Based on that grating obnoxious laugh, I doubt it’s the only annoying thing they’ve done but rather the proverbial straw breaking the camel’s back.

Yeah, Gilligan got a similar reaction to his pitch to have Walter rig a shotgun pointed at Krazy 8 to have him kill himself in the basement. However, Walt Jr would somehow discover him there and when he leaned in to free him, Krazy 8 would trigger the shotgun to kill them both. I love that Vince both goes to

Same with Muppets Take Manhattan. A lot of the Muppets stuff was pretty messy and convoluted ownership-wise so maybe that’s part of it.

Are we not doing “phrasing” anymore?

The quick intercutting to the guard wincing made it perfect.

I’ve loved Old Joe ever since Armed and Dangerous. Glad he got a cameo.

This was a nice capper for Jesse, and a perfect format for it. It would have been anticlimactic in Breaking Bad proper (that was Walt’s story to end) but having some closure on Jesse is good for the character and also fan service without being egregiously unnecessary. Although it has a lot of the “Jesse torture porn”

It was very good work as far as bald caps go. But between Cranston’s expressive face (which curiously got less so abruptly at his hairline) and hdtv, it’s a hard sell these days.

My only other admittedly petty gripe was Cranston’s bald cap was very noticeable in the extreme close ups. But such a minor quibble and only because it made my easily distracted mind wander and go yeah it would have been nice not to need it but oh yeah he was on Broadway with Network when they shot this and oh yeah

I read that as a Wilford Brimleyian pronunciation

It’s great that Sesame Street still does serious topical themes, but the headline definitely made me double check that this wasn’t The Onion

As analogous to the Trumps, Murdochs, et al, nothing feels as creepily on the nose as Kendall is to Don Jr. I’m sure that dummy has made some embarrassing raps to kiss up to his gross dad, or maybe a country song since he’s trying to come off such like a good ol’ boy.

Oh, I thought they used Steve the perfect amount this season, even lampshading how they’re just crowbarring him in for a quick joke and then he’s gone. IMHO they overused him in S2 and he really wore out his welcome for me. This season made me feel that I wasn’t the only one who felt that way and they’re responding to

I didn’t know DOB was on Last Week Tonight until he was in a picture gag last week. I haven’t read Cracked regularly in years and didn’t know pretty much everyone good was laid off.

Jost would be the worst. And since he keeps failing upwards, that seems highly likely.

There’s three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the HBO Max way
