Chris Elliott has really cornered the market in gross, hateable characters. As a comedy nerd I know I’m supposed to worship him, but he always grates on me (and yes, I know, that’s the point, but even so...).

Mentioning him is enough to post my favorite Dean Pelton clip ever:

The gritty reboot would just be an actual snuff film

There was a run of seriously bad, self-consciously zeitgeist-y titles for purportedly good shows from ABC at that time, which kicked off with “Cougar Town” and also included “Trophy Wife”. Ugh.

This desperately needs to be the title of the next Werner Herzog documentary, if only to hear him say it

Well, nobody blamed the actors for that mess because it was clear who the real culprit was: piles and piles of cocaine. 

I think he’s more genuinely unhinged and mental than your Hannitys and O’Reillys, who are just very cynical, craven hucksters who rile up the masses for the money first and foremost.  

Is it as bizarre as the Henry Winkler greenscreens in S4? I started to watch the new edit and had totally forgotten about that. It’s like the whole cast died before filming ended with Winkler as the lone survivor to stitch it together.

Seeing how much of a hard-on they had for superfluous cameos, I couldn’t help but wonder what Horatio Sanz possibly had going on to prevent him from popping in as Elton.

Seems like they don’t even know, judging by how he showed up as Russell Brand and they quickly changed the subject. I thought “yeah, that seems about right.”
