Poor Gypsy shouldn’t have to deal with them
The real tell is when she opens her mouth and words come out. That’s how you know for sure she is lying.
I like him pushing back on this, because there’s gotta be other women who will be more fed up now and will finally come out with more stories and hopefully irrefutable proof to kick his fat ass out. And I’m sure scads more b-roll tape of him saying awful shit on camera. Come on, Apprentice interns and disgruntled…
Doesn’t matter. Fuckin’ Huckabee Sanders will just do her usual spin of either “well that’s what the president believes”or “this topic has already been discussed and we’ve already answered this” bullshit.
“Thumbs Up/Down” is a pretty good scale, and all I really need from a review. Just, should I see it or not? The incremental scale of what makes it work ultimately doesn’t matter to me, as I don’t even read reviews of movies I want to see until after I see them. So just simply yay or nay it and I’ll take it from there.
Seriously. That “short” was the length of a TV holiday special, which is all it seemed to be. I want the weird experimental shorts, not a ham-handed cynical attempt to boost tickets for a movie they maybe don’t have faith that an audience will find.
At least with Spicer his sweaty bumbling made it clear how much he was lying, just as Kellyanne decays more with every lie she tells as what’s left of her soul escapes. Sanders is frightening with her “jus’ folks” haughty Stepford casualness.
Oh god. “Love’s Labors Lost”. What a gut punch of an episode
Oh yeah, good point. Totally forgot about that show. Gone too soon.
On the list of reprehensibly deceptive things Sanders has done, comparing herself in any way with The West Wing is one of the most egregious and delusional.
I love how thoroughly he’s embraced his natural asshole vibe in his latest roles. Though I guess his whole career has been playing various assholes, some relatively more likeable (Josh) than others (preppy in Revenge of the Nerds II), but all assholes nonetheless.
Yeah, that cheesy synth sound on that song is fingernails on a chalkboard for me. Right in the middle of McCartney’s unfortunate “Ooh, I just got a synth, let’s record a bunch of stuff that sounds like half-assed demos and release it!” phase. I know that “McCartney II” has had a sort of resurgence among hipsters but I…
Or Colin Kapernick. Or the mayor of San Juan. Or really any woman and/or person of color would do.
Yeah, growing up in NJ that fucking Springsteen song was unavoidable, especially on K-Rock, and interminably long. McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas is equally annoying but at least he had the good sense to limit it to under three minutes.
Spike Lee angrily tweets out Tim Burton’s home address
“Nothing against Stevens, but much of the role could have been performed by a cocker spaniel.”
My list has Weird Al, Paul F Tompkins, and Mark Hamill. Lin Manuel and Paul McCartney would be tough to take, too.
Came down here to pretty much say the same thing about Apostrophe and Overnite Sensation. Really fantastic albums for all the reasons you said. The rest of his stuff is hit or miss (mostly miss) depending on my mood but those two have infinite replay value
And somehow less racist
That awful Danny Devito line from the film “You’re insane...but you just might be brilliant” is such terribly pretentious, on-the-nose hack writing and points to one of the problems with the film. It was featured prominently in the trailers, too, and was such a cringe inducingly naked plea for Oscar consideration.
