Focus peaking and magnification make manual focusing a pleasure. I agree that $400 is too high for what it does. With a $20 adapter, you set the aperture on the lens and let the camera do the rest.

It came with freeware ROM's but you're right because you can use iExplorer to delete the freeware ROMs and replace them with arbitrary code. That's what I did and it's sweeeet.
You can also use the HDMI adapter for iPad and use the iCade as a stand-alone controller while playing Galaga on your TV.
