Well, Harvey Levin is gay, too, so his "joke" still "works".

Do it or don't.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man are pretty inspired choices for adaptations, but yeah it does seem like they're now starting to rely on their Phase X -> Avengers release too rigidly.

The problem with Reed is that unlike Wright, he’s got no unique style. No tell that shows you that “this is a Peyton Reed film”. He’s here because he’s a competent hand who can step in and do a studio production on short notice and follow the notes of the execs. Love Bring It On, love Down With Love all you want,

Yeah and in the interim they did some really unique stuff on Community and Happy Endings.

Why is he a dud? He's a guy who wasn't cut out to be a cop, to be sure, but he's a caring person, a great father, and it seems with Molly, a good partner. Who should she be with in your opinion?

Why is anything made? Why are we here?

I dunno, Invisible Band was released in June. Was Side going to get a bunch of airplay had 9/11 not happened?

Wow, thanks for this. I had a hard time enjoying Coldplay at first because they just felt like a total rip off of Travis.

Probably cause that movie does right by people with intellectual disabilities, including casting actual people. It helps that the athletes at the Special Olympics catch on to him right away so he's not faking for them.

Eh, was he though? I love Bob's Burgers, but Sunday nights was mostly dedicated to Simpsons/Seth McFarlane for most of his tenure. He inherited House, Bones and 24 on Monday for years. American Idol dominated the Spring, a slew of forgettable shows preceded the show in the fall before Reilly doubled down on musical

He never went to bat for 30 Rock. He gave it a greenlight, but others renewed it. He put good shows on the air but he also made mistakes like relying on dying franchises and Gordon Ramsey. Also put on lots of bad shows. Was part of the leadership team that pissed off Levitan so much he didn't even offer them

Seinfeld was also done in an era where a show could be nurtured to big ratings. Don't bring up Seinfeld.

FWIW, nothing you described is unique to FOX. Corporate culture itself generally seems to be about intense backbiting, alliances and grievances.

I just read TVMoJoe's take on the situation. Good lord, he's really going to bat for him with some of that nonsense. Reilly's problem, according to Joe, is he loves good TV too much! He just wasn't cut out for the numbers game! Yowza, talk about covering for a guy who's obviously been one of your sources.

He greenlit it, but you can thank his much maligned successors for finding a way to keep FNL (not to mention 30 Rock) on the air.

While NBC was everybody's punchline, FOX somehow escaped the same media scrutiny despite obvious failures by Reilly. FOX is a network that's friendlier to the Vulture sites out there, so that accounts for some of it, but you could see this fall to the bottom coming a couple of years ago. Not having to program the 10

Agents of SMASH is awful and Ultimate SpiderMan is about a million steps below Spectacular Spider Man, which was cancelled to make way for USM. I haven't seen any of their other cartoons.

If he was going to go back to episodic tv, even Netflix, it would be for six figures per episode. This guy will get significantly less.

Confused as to how Jessica Raine ended up as a supporting actress for her lead role in An Adventure in Space and Time. Pretty sure she had more lines than lead actor nominee David Bradley did, but I could be wrong.
