It’s an unfortunate reality. There’s really no good reason to transport pets via air. I’d rather rehome a pet than subject them to the trauma of air travel. Bringing them in the cabin is no solution either. Cabin travel is just as stressful and risky to the pet. 

French bulldogs should NEVER be sent in the cargo hold. I’m amazed this was even allowed to happen and by that I mean the dog should have never been booked as cargo. Bracy breeds are almost never allowed.
