almost all of the other characters are also poor and/or working class. i agree with you that it makes the show endearing.

it's funny that the author was prevented from enjoying the show initially because she was "worried" about the family. although i don't really agree that the show is about tina, i'm glad that the author came back to the show. it's a great show.
