As a society, we have decided that there is a minimum standard of safety for certain things. It’s been shown that half helmets don’t really do anything and the *vast* majority of half helmets have fake DOT stickers on them. In reality, most people wearing them aren’t wearing a legal helmet.

Half helmets should be outlawed. It’s simple - if a state has a seatbelt law, it should be tied to a helmet law that requires at least a 3/4 helmet (although those really don’t do much either). To me, cosplay on a bike is gear that has a specific look but offers no protection. 1/2 helmet, fingerless gloves, vest and a do-rag is cosplay (to me).

The shitty stereo in my Ram was a concern of mine, then I found that a company sells an interface that allows the truck to talk to many different aftermarket stereos. It allows me to keep the backup cam, trailer towing settings, etc.
