I doubt many people are at GVW or max trailer weight very often. I’ve got a 1 ton that I use for truck stuff. It’s overkill, but when at near GVW, it isn’t scary. With a big-ass camper on the back, I can still easily keep up with (or pass) traffic - and have enough exhaust brake & brakes to quickly bring it to a stop.

God damn, the ones with the black grill are fugly. Shockingly ugly.

Crack-fucking-pipe.

I’ve 800 (at 1,800 RPM) in a ‘17 Ram, and it’s amaaaazing. Love the low RPM, smoothness and big torque of a straight six.

I have a 2 door, with a minimal infotainment system (small touch screen radio), straight six, with 375hp and shitloads of torque. Built in ‘17.

People still watch the olympics? The coverage of any motorsports will suck. This could reach a much larger audience on RedBull TV or something similar.

I usually have $100 in my wallet.

Real question: Will there be more Lucas jokes or “I drive more than 250 miles a day so this is USELESS” comments?

People with gas engines have no idea how high diesel compression ratios are, which is why I said it. Mostly, my comment was about the whole glow plug thing, and that the Cummins is able to fire the fuel without glow plugs.

The best of the diesels, especially in a truck, is the Cummins 5.9 and 6.7 liter straight 6. Neither of them have glow plugs.

Neutral:

I would make it not suck by stopping production. Today.

So fucking awesome that there will be yet another standard. Thanks dicks.

At least Richards was talented.

I’ve been around 3/4 & 1 ton trucks for decades, and have pretty much ignored 1/2 trucks. I think there used to be more separation between 1/2 ton trucks and heavy duty. Now everything looks like an HD truck.

I’m not saying that every car is a pile of compromises. I’m saying that people give up all sorts of practical things for the car that speaks to them - comfort, handling, MPG, doors with funny hinges, etc.

Beautiful car and photos. Thanks for sharing.

We give up all sorts of comfort and practicality for other cars, why not this one.

A small electric would be fine for my needs - short trips around town, and an occasional 100 mile day. Big enough to bring home groceries, small enough to be out of the way. Inexpensive to buy and cheap to maintain.

I’m sure it’ll be perfect for many people, but I keep heard how it’ll be “great for fleet and business”. I’m not believing that part.
