This is literally how she has positioned herself, especially within the last 5-7 years. So it’s a little disingenuous for her to even complain about it initially... it’s even worse that she actually lied…

I think it’s a mistake to assume there is one monolithic ‘white perspective’ and why it’s important to listen to everyone, because we all come with our own perspectives.

But that character is a stereotype. I don’t understand why you choose to dodge this. The Ancient One in the comics was a huge stereotype, and Marvel wanted to change that.

If I received that same email from someone and you replaced “Asian” with “Hispanic”, I’d light up at the openness of the individual writing it and wanting to understand what the issues are, or what exists there... and if there are ways to improve from their end.

If Swinton came in demanding Cho enlighten her I would 100% agree with your comment; I think burnout from being required to be a cultural ambassador is a very real phenomena that POC experience. But Swinton literally opened with the line: “Tell me to fuck off if you feel like it.” Did their conversation go 100%…
