That is definitely not true.  Gerrymandering gives you a party with tighter control of the voting process.  Election laws matter, as do many other nuanced consequences of a near total dominance of statewide offices for 20+ years.

You have to remember there is a majority of sane people held hostage by gerrymandering and malevolent election laws.

Came here to say this.  Lightning is much more durable than C.  If Usb C was designed so that there was  no  center post and contacts were on the outside of the female port we wouldn’t have these issues.

This isn’t entirely true. I’ve seen many iphone lightning ports that literally break the aluminum stand they are in before they damage the phone itself.  Lightning is a much more durable spec and personally what I would prefer in a world where the data connection is wireless most of the time anyway.
