Yeah, this was underwhelming to say the least. Pretty to watch, but with little-to-no emotional resonance. In fact, it might have been better if it had been told from the Monkey’s point of view. Her scenes are the best and the only ones to come close to any emotional heft.

I agree with Germain, this company puts out very well done but underwhelming movies. I found myself very bored through Coraline and Paranorman and didn’t even finish Boxtrolls.

Well, they draw him that way in the Batman ‘66 comics, so it should be the same here.

Hmmm...I can’t help wondering if they’re going to have him play Sebastian. I don’t know how well a very broad and almost stereotypical performance like that given by Stephen E. Wright would necessarily play today.

Can’t say I found the twist surprising at all and was kind typical for that kind of plot and predictable but the Steven and his mom stuff was really interesting so made episode great.

You know, now that I see the full shot, where does Superman keep his boots? They can’t be under his shoes, right?

There are many answers to this question. But, as a professional, I must point out that the art form reached it’s zenith with this timeless masterpiece:

Matthew McCoonnnaahhhey is the kind of actor I love to see play villains. He just looks like he can have fun with those roles. I wish more actors of his caliber would take on antagonist roles, as opposed to always pushing to play leading protagonists.

I feel the same way about Glover as Morales as I do about Elba as Bond. They’d both have been perfect last time the role was being cast, but have probably aged out of it now.

He was named dropped in the Incredible Hulk in SHIELD's list of Banner's known associate's.

Ditto Demolition man. It takes a special kind of brilliance to deconstruct 90s action movie tropes while simultaneously using them to their best while still being a pretty decent scifi story whose commentary on censorship vs personal freedom is if anything, MORE relevant today.

I hoestly and uniroincally think it is

The Fifth element is a MASTERPIECE.

This all day. Even Event Horizon and Source Code were pretty good. There are a lot better examples of “so bad it’s good” that could have been picked for this list.

Sorry, but The Fifth Element and Starship Troopers knew exactly what they were doing and did it well. They are not examples of “so bad it’s good.”

This is my favourite goddamn cartoon currently on TV. I wish it had the episodic volume of Adventure Time.

An anthology series is the only way for World War Z to work. You can have different directors do the episodes and even have room to expand using new stories. I want to see the Battle of Yonkers damnit lol

A Ken Burns-style approach would be perfect for adapting “World War Z.”

And he’s voiced by Gilbert “Iago aka Mr Peabody from the Problem Child series” Gott-fricking-fried in the animated series.
