Oh man, I LOVE Occasional Comics Disorder. This dude has it going on.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. It was definitely uneven throughout. I honestly enjoyed it quite a bit as a one-time movie.
I find Green Lantern is way more fun when it goes full-on Space Opera. Seriously, most of the earthbound stuff I've read is okay (some is good) but I usually enjoy all the spacey stuff. I love that Alan Moore story with the F-Sharp Corps guy who can't see.
This reminds me a lot of the Spider-Man story where he's got that big machine stuck on him and he manages to lift it aloft.
I think that was easy to do with 3 being all about Spock and 4 having the two hang out in San Francisco half the movie. But I would argue the three-way dynamic is still very much present in 5 and especially 6. ST6 has a lot of Kirk/McCoy interaction.
Oh God, (let me wipe the sweat from my brow). This is.. embarrassing. I've only seen Aliens and Alien 3. Alien I have seen the last ten minutes of. I know, I know! Just haven't.
I started in on Green Lantern maybe a year after Kyle was Green Lantern and stuck with it a long while. I really thought it was an interesting take on the whole thing, kind of a "Greatest American Hero" story without a 'fro. I also like the retcon/Parallax thing, but Kyle was a pretty good character, I thought.
Animated movies can be more challenging than live-action, since you not only need the right angle but all the drawn stuff has to look right, and in CG movies, you've got to be able to "make" everything where you want it. I recall hearing about "The Incredibles" being incredibly (hah!) challenging because of some of…
Well, she wouldn't have been wiped. Amy's mom and dad are wiped and she's still there, so the precedent is set, if not necessarily sound.
"Let's Kill Hitler" is a pretty great title. Especially after that crazy ending to "A Good Man Goes To War," we really needed a good pick-me-up. My wife was weepy and that made her laugh, which was nice.
That's a hell of a lot of books to release, especially in a move toward a digital format. If they want to sell all of them, they need to scale back that digital price or offer some deals.
I do say these all quite often. Though, I would argue people are quoting Inigo before the movie is over, since he says it so many times.
They were, um.... lava...based... Martians. Scarce.
I think I know what happened here. Jupiter actually is a sentient planet, ala Mogo, but is far from Benevolent. The Martians, noting this, destroyed their own planet to trap Jupiter outside the asteroid belt.
Candyland writer may actually be pretty savvy - he's taking this seriously by seeing how over the top he can make the whole thing, which is really the only way it would be watchable. So, he's either crazy-full-of-himself or actually understands the things he is saying are ridiculous.
Pro tip: Keep your cling wrap in the freezer. It's less likely to go awry prior to application. You do need to wait a few extra seconds for it to warm before it clings again.
I have only read the book, but I read it back in high school. I recall it being fairly interesting, along the same lines of Andromeda Strain. Less exciting, but still worth reading.
This week skippage by BBC AM is killing me. It's spoiler city 'round these parts, but luckily I remembered to scroll past today. Not so easy on the O-Deck - watch yourself round there!
Personally, I like to nestle my sausage in a soft bun.
This sounds surprisingly interesting. I suggest we have a sausage party to discuss the findings. We'll stand around talking, holding our sausages. Sausages from all over the world! All that matters is that they are long and meaty and juicy!
