@gx12ock: Just checked my serial. If what you say is accurate, my phone was made in week 24. (Living in Japan here). NO problems at all with the exception of the antenna thing. Proximity sensor works fine, no spots, everything seems A-OK otherwise.

Japan started taking iPhone 4 reservations all around the country yesterday (the 15th) at exactly 5pm local time. I was the 6th in line (4:45pm) at the local Softbank shop. I had to fill in a paper form (Japanese love their paperwork) and just like elsewhere, no white phones to be had - only black. Eagerly waiting…
