Yes, Tesla is partially responsible. The CEO has repeatedly over-hyped the tech and claimed it can do things it can’t. I hope the motorcyclist’s family sue both the idiot driver and Tesla.

Elon seems to be realizing he poisoned the EV well by declaring everyone not associated with the non-far-right his personal enemies. tesla stock is continuing to dive, he’s losing many long-term, high-ranking engineers, he’s laying off manufacturing employees, he’s not beholden to the Chinese government (who have

There’s blood on your hands, Elmo.

Yeah, that’s a picture from a PREVIOUS time a Tesla on Autopilot killed a motorcyclist, as noted in the caption of the image.

Part of the problem is the entire concept of an autopilot/FSD that relies on human intervention is fundamentally flawed.

They’re just as bad as the Kias for both theft and engines. Friend of mine who’s Tuscon got stolen last year is now in for engine replacement, and the other three Hyundais at my office have all had engine replacements. They’re also blacklisted from many of the insurance companies just like Kia is.

My mom just turned 73 and she drives a Honda Fit Sport, five-speed manual. Orange Revolution Metallic. Of course, she’s a sample of one.

Around these parts it’s mostly Buick SUVs (Enclave, Encore) and the near-ubiquitious Camry for current models. For older models, Lexus sedans from 2006 to around 2012.

The Simpsons predicts it again:

I have a niece. She has an undergrad degree in microbiology, an MD, and a string of letters after her name indicating all the research and schooling she’s completed. She’s a critical-care pediatric intensivist. She treats the sickest of the sick kids; including kids with severe COVID, during the pandemic.
