This is silly. You could make an argument that everything on the planet is killing the environment. The idea is to harm it less and over time as little as possible. Basically what you are saying is, “All Cars Are Bad”. We know that Trains are much better for the environment.

You can absolutely hang your hat on the fact that whatever comes on the car new will wear far faster than whatever you replace them with.  No dealer wants to jack price by $500 to cover better tires.

OEM tires can be such a crap shoot. They don’t always pick the best tire, but sometimes a tire that meets a need. Similar situation with Toyota and the Tacoma TRD pro. Those Teslas weren’t actually dead. They were just lined up waiting for their turn for a reduced number of supercharger spots because the cold knocked out some of the chargers, not the cars themselves.
