The Brazilian Corolla comes with discs in all four wheels. Since 2009 IIRC

Volkswagen Polo and Golf are the first ones to come to mind. Both are made in Brazil and have disc brakes on the rear.

I guess that’s fair, but I feel the plants and designs there are already set-up to continue to build and install drums. If VW doesn’t have any other cars with rear drums, why go through the effort to add them on?

Limit aerodynamic downforce!. Aerodynamics is killing the sport, cars don’t move out of optimal trajectory so they don’t overtake.

Unfortunately, they re trying to affirmative action the series by restricting the budgets. Only so many engines. No testing. Hell, no re-fueling. just let go of the rules, lets see who can handle these beasts.

Only four wheels??? Damn regulations.

Something like this might help. Mario Kart Edition

If the truckers passed the increased cost along to the companies they do transport for, those companies would pass it along until it reached the general populace. And the general populace is already overcharged.

Another guy from Brazil here (long-time Giz commenter, and that’s my real name). Came to say almost the same, glad you did it already.

Yes, it might be the same price as in Mexico, and yes, it is more expensive in Europe, but those countries do not have the same taxes as Brazil. Neither are wages as good as in Europe to offset gas costs. Fact is Brazilian truckers are getting shafted and the whole country will suffer, as they have been for a long

Thats a horrible situation , but i thank you for sharing as now I want to keep an eye on this ! Crazy what one hear’s/ Dosen’t hear, to this day. Kudos to you & my sincere hope’s this gets better for everyone !!!

I use natural gas on my car, which costs half of what gasoline costs

Seems like Tesla has a potential of a massive market in Brazil once it’s Lithium Battery freight trucks are ready to ship.

But the big difference is the relative income. In the US, you could buy ~3 gallons of diesel with 1 hour of minimum wage, in Brazil it takes 2.5 days to buy 1 gallon.

For my fellow Americans, that happens to be just over $4 US per gallon. We haven’t seen prices like that where I live in quite a few years now.

Just wanted to add that fuck you Juscelino Kubitscheck (1956-1961) and every president that followed him when he decided that the best way of transportation in the fifth largest country in the world isn’t trains but trucks. We had a reasonable but growing railway system in the 40’s/50’s that went into complete

Guys, its nbd, there is always a shortage of life saving medications. We are constantly fucking fucked. Chill

almost 1.09 USD per liter? It’s barely more expensive than here in Mexico and we have some really cheap gas even after our government did the same exact thing a few months ago.

Pemex and Petrobras were abused to the point of failure; to try and maintain artificial gas prices would be ludicrous in the long term.

Fixed your headline.
