Where’s the pale blue dot?

Surprised to see I’m the first one to post this:

It was only after the first directors cut, that they striped Ford’s voice over that the film was even watchable and people started to appreciate it.

My understanding (an urban legend that I’ll further advance here), is that POTA won best makeup because the Academy voters thought the apes in 2001 were real...apes.

My first thought when I saw the image:

Since you’re including animation, there’s Bakkshi’a Wizards (1977) . After all, the whole premise of the movie was a post apocalyptic world

Came here to post “a boy and his dog” — basically how I saw America after WW IV.

Another reboot, another opportunity to come up with a fresh idea wasted.

I have hope this is the last spasm of the old world, before a smarter generation takes over..

but it’s probably best for humanity that we’re not all flailing magical sticks around.
