That's one of my favorite RR episodes:

Just last week my daughter had a writing project and was stumped for ideas. I suggested she write a essay on how ACME was a terrible company and the Coyote was really the victim.

Regarding A Bug's Life/Antz:

(Apologies if this is posted twice)

I might be wrong, but I was always under the impression that the AE-35 was never going to fail. Instead, I felt it's predicted failure was only a side effect from HAL's paranoia schizophrenia. If you recall HAL gave his warning that the unit would fail during a conversation between the AI and Dave regarding the

The theory (sorry, hypothesis) I heard was similar to what Kyle242gt wrote:

I saw the movie this afternoon and I disagree: I thought it was very moving. I'll buy it on Blu-ray when it comes out, and I'll watch it annually.

I tell my friends that my favorite thing about living in the 21st Century is FaceTime. I can videochat with my daughter (who is usually with her mom) every day. For a dad who measures his time with his daughter in hours, video phone calls are wonderful. For this dad, I'm living in the future.

I'm glad someone mentioned the "faceless" mini figures. I am showing my age, but the first miniature Lego people that came with the police kits didn't have eyes or a smile.

This is sad.

While I was reading that it sounded like Tiny Spock speaking to Giant Sheldon.

I saw the movie with my 10 year old daughter (don't judge me). During the scene when the giant semi-torus spaceship is rolling she leans over to me and whispers, "She shouldn't run in a straight line."

Possible spoilers...

I have my Dinky Eagles (yeah, plural) over here on my bookshelves. One is white, the other is green (complete with the working winch and non-working nuclear waste containers). Very cool.

"The Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside the Mind"

I am a huge Disneyland fan and The Haunted Mansion is absolutely my favorite attraction at DL (2nd is Pirates, 3rd is Indy...ah, but I digress).

I'm a huge Syd Mead fan (I'm always looking for books by him or by another artist named Ed Mell). I just ordered a copy of "Sentury II" from amazon. (Thanks for the tip, ringer81.)
