Did you all catch that orange gasbag walking out on the field before the national championship game? Walked out squeezed in between military members (or ROTC) to prevent jeers I assume. Pretty sure I still heard plenty...and these are Georgia and Alabama fans. Also, couldn’t even be bothered to pay attention; kept

It will get better! Having a baby that doesn’t sleep well is the WORST. Especially when other people tell you about how their baby has been sleeping through the night since two months old or some bs like that. Our little guy didn’t sleep through the night until 8-9 months old. And he was still waking up at least

This gave me all the feels and a gut punch (like literally in the middle of your story I gasped and the tears started pouring). As someone who didn’t get the chance to tell my mom in her last days how amazing she was at being a mom, your answer was so perfect and I’m sure it set her heart at ease. So lovely. Thank

Oh my, that is fucking heartbreaking. I wish I had something better to say, but I am just so sorry and sad for you after reading this.

This made me laugh so hard remembering going to academic conferences where there were like six of us sharing a standard hotel room. Guys and Ladies together- we were all so poor, and all the academic conferences are always in expensive cities. This might be the answer to Pence’s problem: grad school seems to bring

I just happened to have MSNBC on a few minutes ago, and I saw a commercial supporting Gorsuch’s nomination by the Judicial Crisis Network. I don’t recall ever seeing an ad for Supreme Court nominations before, but maybe I’m wrong. Though I guess its on MSNBC, because the argument was “I worked for Obama but I support

This might already be on the list....but remember to bring your own pillow and whatever breastfeeding pillow you are going to use (if you are breastfeeing/going to use one). It may just be because my husband had to pack my bag after I ended up unexpectedly in L&D, but I didn’t even think about the bf pillow, and man

Reading this was totally worth it to get to #6.

I put Parks and Rec on about 1:00 AM on election night and have had it on instead of the news most days since then. I want to live in Pawnee about right now.

I think he’s going to kill himself or let them kill him if that makes it end. I hope that he does take that teacher with him on the way out!! Seriously though- all these kids are running around all night killing people- um, do the parents not realize their kids are missing and likely have blood all over their little

Do you need to be able to speak Spanish to do this? I thought this week about seriously giving an effort to start learning Spanish to be able to help out/volunteer in the future, but this may be a better option.

Yes! Watching Channel Zero- ha, I can’t believe I’m admitting this as a grown ass woman, but I can’t watch it at night when it comes on. I have to get up at least twice a night to feed our little guy which requires walking down a dark hallway....so...have to DVR and watch in the morning. What in the world is going

Hahaha...depending on the doctor and whoever you invite in the delivery room....totally! We had a slight emergency situation which required some seriousness...but if not, I would totally see our OB doing that if we asked him too.

Solidarity. Our eight month old is 4-5 times a night. Thankfully 2-3 of those times he just needs someone to put his pacifier back in and give him a bounce or two on the exercise ball, but I hate all the people who told me I just needed to get to six months to get a full nights sleep again.

We have literally never used our changing table...and the little guy is almost eight months old.

It is the best moment...you just heard your baby cry for the first time, and then you hear “its a ____!” Ours was a boy. I don’t regret for a minute not finding out the gender beforehand.

I never realized that there was such a difference in the care between the services. Until recently we were at one of the “big three” Navy hospitals, but have since moved to a Marine Corps base with a much smaller Navy hospital - but the care thus far is still good (and wait time for an appointment is not bad). Thats

I’ve really only had good experiences with Navy medicine up to this point. I married into the military so I was used to the private insurance world and it still seems insane to me that I walk out of the clinic/pharmacy feeling like I stole something every time. I’m sorry that you didn’t get the same level of care in

Hate to admit this based on other people’s experiences on this thread...had a baby in March at a Naval hospital- the bill we received when all said and done was $5.95. Husband bought the “celebratory” dinner that I got for free as a new mom. That was it- and it was an emergency C-Section.

I just had our six month old for a week by myself while my husband was doing field training for work. I agree, it seemed terrifying at the start. And I won’t lie- it was a long week (our little guy is a terrible sleeper), but before you know it it will be the end of the week. I got by with just one needed call to
