Apparently YOU missed the point of the argument. The person who said it would benefit everyone is a Big Streamer. She is not a Twitch Employee. She stands to make money off of the advertising for the event, because the advertising is targeting viewers in other streams, not outside the service. It isn’t bringing new

The problem is the advertising is applying only to the streaming community.  It’s not bringing more people into watching streams, it’s telling the current consumers to go watch another streamer.  That’s not increasing revenue to streamers overall, just the advertised (already bigger) streamer, while taking away from

I was gonna say the same thing.  The Sony employee did not go cheap on that selection, and she has some amazing titles to play through now.  I would not want to go through what she did to get that package (I’ve had enough injuries to not want to add more head trauma to the list), but I am mildly envious...

It’s the same argument billionaires have for Trickle Down Economics... and it’s as bullshit now as it was then.

Sadly, they can’t be that close really.  The example they explained about group camp setups is near impossible to design right, as there is quite a bit of space between them last I tried with my standard group.

I’ve been trying to gather some recipes still on my main to make a small bar, personally.  Sadly, the limited CAMP budget makes it impossible to build the Inn I initially planned on building, and my bar will never be big enough to please me.  Why do so many cosmetic things cost so much?  I want to have multiple pool

The problem with that argument is there is little difference between the two. Both digital games and the patches are stored on the SAME servers, and we’re still seeing a majority of the content remaining. Regarding DRM, perhaps you should direct your anger less at the companies who use it and more at the pirates who

So, you’re saying that as long as one physical copy exists, it can be rendered digital... which puts it right where current digital titles are.  If that digital copy isn’t put up for people to find, it’s exactly the same as if they’re taken down from servers: unaccessable to anyone who doesn’t have a copy.  Just admit

The problem is you’re assuming that the future will maintain the current transient trend of digital media.  Current digital backup standards are leagues better than they were before, and it’s far easier to find copies of titles released digitally currently than it is to find copies of physically released titles that

That wasn’t ever even considered for a physical release, and was specifically pulled at request of the publisher. That is an extreme rarity that is nothing like what is going on here with Kingdom Hearts III... do you honestly think Square Enix is going to demand Sony and Microsoft pull the epilogue and secret endings?

You’re thinking is connected to a time when the internet was still considered a potentially temporary thing. Current day gaming is starting to work towards digital as a priority over physical media because it’s cheaper, more efficient and safer for over all use in the eyes of publishers. Concerns of “servers not being

He literally says he doesn’t condone it.  He says both are wrong.  That is entirely fair if what he describes is accurate (I have not seen the video, and don’t wish to due to past experiences of my own), and in no way says “she deserves it”.  Learn to read, please.

Sadly, my spare key for it expired yesterday, or I’d offer it to you.  I can’t help but wonder if the give aways were related to the impending removal...

For this magnificent supply of pure poetry, I have to ask what you are paid for your articles, and why it is simply not enough.  January 3rd, and I have already read what may be the best batch of writing all year.

I was referring to when World of Warcraft launched, within it’s first year specifically.  I stuck with it then, but the recent expansion got me to quit for good.

And a lot of people agree that Fallout 76 is fun and just needs some work.  This is an online game compared to an online game.  The comparison is apt, especially since Blizzard was an EXPERIENCED company when it came to online play at that point, where as Bethesda is not so much.

People stuck around World of Warcraft despite it being much buggier and a ton of downtime for patches that sometimes took servers down for half a day.  People who love a franchise can put up with stuff pretty easily.

Regarding Star Citizen, I’ve literally seen people streaming either late Alpha or Early Beta of it... it isn’t vaporware at all, it exists.  I do agree with what someone else posted though: FFVII remake will definitely be Vaporware....

While it sucks that there is a repeat, this is the FIRST time we’ve had a title repeated since the service began.  Give them a little slack.

Please stop trying to mislead people as to what happened.  It wasn’t “over-the-line jokes and gaffes”, it was saying racist shit, multiple times, and only apologizing after losing shit because of it.  Call it what it was, outright racist commentary.
