This. If you read his thread on Rennlist, he specifically says he has stated value insurance.

Ah, sorry didn’t pick up on that. I think there are a whole bunch of others with similar posts to yours who are serious.

You pretty much have this to thank for modern restritor plate racing.

That’s what I was wondering. Whether they might be revving it higher there in testing than they will in race. They generally short shift the cars, because they have a fuel flow rate restriction, and the engine gets to a point of diminishing returns.

If you have noisy track pads, it’s almost certainly brake noise. I’m guessing you’ve already inspected all pads on both sides to make sure you’re not getting close to a wear indicator?

I bought one of these when I had a Bay Area 35 mile commute of 75-120 minutes each way. (Kia Optima SX)

I just think they have gone the wrong direction by continuing with regulations that are largely aero dependent.

Without the global view, I think it would have been Pontiac to survive the ax and Buick to go by the wayside back in 2009. Pontiac was certainly a more viable US brand, and had some comparatively interesting models.

Yes, I agree with the rest of your post. I am only stating that driving the speed limit does not automatically equal safe, not does speeding automatically equal unsafe.

But even that doesn’t make the road safer. Attentive drivers driving in a speed and manner appropriate for the surrounding conditions makes driving safe.

But shouldn’t that come back on the community leadership, for the decisions that were made to begin with?

I can confirm, it is not that. It is GM being GM, solving a problem that did not need to be solved while they continue to peddle their mediocre crap.

This! I just posted the same and then saw yours.

What’s even worse is the genuis(‘) at GM who thought it would be a good idea for the reverse lights to come on when you unlock your car from across the parking lot.

Yeah, I just posted the same. I moved from Portland and would not move back because of you now having so many people. But when I go home to visit, the airport having non contractor operated local joints at fair (off airport) prices is a nice perk!

I’m a Portland native, I live in Boise now. But one thing they get right in Portland - The airport advertises and charges off airport prices in all of the shops and restaurants. They feature local restaurants that are not contractor operated shells of themselves - they are basically the real deal. I wish more

I’ve done quite a bit of wheel to wheel racing in ChumpCar and similar series. When I tell people I race, and show them some video from my YouTube channel, the first question they ask is inevitably, “How fast are you going right there?”, or “So what’s your top speed on this track?”.

I moved to Boise 18 months ago from the East Bay, we had record snowfall this winter (30 year high), my Challenger has been in the garage since November. And I still don’t regret the move.....

In a race car, I concur. This was last month.
