Body roll, much?
I owned a ‘92 Nissan Stanza that was our main car for 8 years. It had the same style, auto shoulder belt with Manual Lap belt. If you were going to be stuck with automatic belts, it was probably the way to go. Getting in and out of the car was no problem at all, and latching a lap belt only was probably a bit easier…
That’s what the Continental Tire series in IMSA has been. This year, the “GS” top tier class moved to being homologated GT4 cars, but the lower class, ST, continued to be road cars with some modifications. As in, roll cage, suspension, brakes, tires, and in some cases (but not all) modified ECU. It’s a highly…
Right, but those same dysfunctional teams fail to take a quarterback when available to them - OR, take the wrong one.
I see it for sure when I change the oil on my 2.0T Optima. It has a red tint to it from the fuel detergent, and is an overall thinner consistency.
Recommended service interval for these GDI turbos is shorter. I daily a 2.0T Optima and do an oil change and tire rotation every 5K myself. I also happen to still be in engine warranty, so am following Kia’s recommendations. I also use synthetic, so it’s total overkill. But 30 minutes of my time and $25-30 is a lot of…
I daily a 2.0T Optima, and we get 23-24 in mixed city/highway. Pretty common to get 30 or so on long highway runs averaging 70 or 75. A lot of wind, hills, or traffic are the only things I’ve seen cause that to dip.
It’s a means of satiating the fanbase.
Have a look at the 20 second mark of the Florida video. We obviously can’t see the light of the left hand turner, but my bet is on that silver car thinking they had a free pass to run the yellow as it was turning. I see people do that crap all the time at uncontrolled lefts, they think somehow entering the…
Looked almost like a road rage incident, from my perspective. Intentionally tail gating and getting caught out by it. But without the context of where he came from and when, impossible to tell for sure.
I lived there for 12 years, from Portland originally.
This is actually the 5th race, the first was in 2012.
As some others mentioned, the rear brakes are “Brake by Wire”. The majority of the rear braking is done through hybrid regeneration, but there are also small calipers and rotors. The actual activation of these is not with the pedal and hydraulic fluid (like your road car and the front brakes in F1) but electrically,…
They actually changed that rule for this season, and DRS my now be used only in the normal DRS zone during practice and qualifying.
Alright, finally found something Zany on the Boise CL.
Try this one on for size. LOL
I’d not call this one weird, other than the poster providing so few details. It’s literally advertised as “Honda”. No model, no year, Who needs any of that?
The other thing I hear when watching the broadcasts is long run pace, which I think is a legitimate factor. With the setups they end up having to run to be on pace, their rear tire wear leaves them lacking performance at the end of the fuel window, especially with long green flag runs. They seem to be able to compete…
