All the parts featuring Marty Rathbun were so good, given I feel that in many other Scientology documentaries and articles he's treated as this person who's 'seen the light' and left the church. This makes it seem like he only left because he started to be treated poorly by Miscavige. He shows absolutely no remorse…
I like to think that The Good Fight and Happy Endings are set in the same Chicago universe. Dave probably went to med school after his steak truck went out of business. Underneath that button up shirt he's totally wearing a V-neck.
I think it's also that in the years since season 4 we have actually SEEN Phi Phi do some pretty amazing things, so we know she's not just being delusional when she says she thinks she deserves to be in the competition.
I don't believe that Phi Phi is really as villainous as the editors are trying to make her seem, but that moment where she pointedly didn't accept Alyssa's hug and then hugged everybody else made my eyes roll out of my head.
I feel bad for Phi Phi because it's clear there is talent there, but she is just so insecure, and when she gets defensive she comes across as shrill and extremely intense (both on the show and in her twitter reaction afterward). I think she'd benefit from taking some of Jinkx Monsoon's advice and letting it be 'water…
I just think what you're reading as laziness, I'm reading as a lot of hard work and dedication but with a different end product in mind to most of the other queens. She doesn't want to be Nina Flowers or Sharon Needles she wants to be… Pete Doherty.
I can see where Michelle is coming from, but it's not that Adore hasn't worked hard enough, it's more that she's more sure of what she wants to be, and has realised that that person is not the queen she "evolved" into during season 6. She doesn't want to be seen as 'polished', I think she is trying for authenticity,…
I loved this doco, I watched it in an actual theatre that had a screen put in it as part of a film festival, and it was the most laughter-filled movie experience that I've ever had.
I like the idea of a melting pot too, and I think eventually we will get there, and Matt Damon saving all the Chinese people will not be an issue that makes people think twice, and that will be fine. The thing is this movie doesn't exist in a vacuum, it's in the context of a world where people who aren't white often…
I think gonorrhoea can also cause pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility, it just is way more symptomatic so generally you know you have gonorrhoea, whereas in females chlamydia is often asymptomatic so the infertility is just a surprise down the track.
I think part of the reason was that in "Blood vs Water" he had the 'I went to jail before and now I'm totally reformed and just into yoga and trying to reconnect with my brother' storyline to deploy, which made him vulnerable/worthy of sympathy. Now that he can't use that anymore he's just kinda gross.
Everything you say is like a stab to my heart/wallet
I am utterly jealous of you living somewhere where $35 to see Beirut live is considered steep. I paid 65 australian dollars to see them live, and I would do it again especially for the half-decade-old songs.
