Build a 360 into a TV, stick a kinect on the top bezel, use internal wifi, use esata for an attachable hard drive, usb sticks otherwise and MS will have made their own market for that. Hell even ensure the optical drive is removed and market as a special online-only version.

If the OS will support a game pad then it's a far stretch to think that the developers will support the API in their system is it? There are lazy devs out there but a dev will always want their customers to be able to experience the game in the best way.

You can use ps3 and 360 joypads in android 3.2 tablets. Most assuredly on win8 tabs too, bluetooth controllers on the ipad..

It's not just the graphics in Gears that are awesome but the whole graphic design. The Cities, the weapons, the gears, the characters are notable but the locust bestiary is awesome - and the lambent? Wonderful touch of grotesque.
