I agree with TheOligarchMe. I took it as it just being Walt projecting himself. If we're to believe he could communicate to Michael via a computer screen then why couldn't he project an image of himself to Locke.

I understand people hating the ending, but the bashing of the writers and defenders of the show went overboard.

Yeah, and then it died down and got revved up all over again because of Breaking Bad's ending. Which I thought was very good but also very "predictable". If that makes sense.

I thought the whole point of not entirely answering what the Island was or the stakes of stopping MIB was for us the viewer to be put in Jack's mind frame. That he had to finally let go of his free will and just believe that the Island was important with no questions asked. Jack had to become Locke but without

Ben mentioned in "The Incident" that he was told he could summon the Smoke Monster, but it was really the Monster summoning him. At some point, someone (probably the Man In Black in some form) told him he could be "summoned" using the ancient room and that he would be judged. Didn't "Yemi" mention judgement to Eko?

The Whispers have been associated with the Monster before, like when Eko first encounters it. I figured Harper was the Monster (implying at some point that she died since the Monster only takes on the form of dead people). The Monster's goal was to kill every possible candidate so tricking Juliet into stopping

Maybe I'm missing something, but it kinda works. The Black Rock people could have docked their outriggers on the Island which had time jumped to 2007 or later. One of the outriggers is stolen by Locke's group. When the Black Rock people return to them they realize one is stolen so they pursue until the next time

Was Juliet scanned by the Smoke Monster? Could this later explain why she sees the Other Harper Stanhope later on in Season 4?

The outrigger was supposed to be answered within the show, it was in the script but for some reason was left out. In the Lost box set, one of the physical extras is part of the Black Rock journal where it's mentioned that some of the crew left the Black Rock on an outrigger to explore the Island and ran into another
