I nominate Run the Jewels to be the only accompanying music to all video games moving forward.

I think part of the appeal of a character like Kratos is that he is fighting his own gods. Gods that are ingrained in the culture and who he, up until whatever point in his life, worshipped and was beholden to. Having a greek character pick a fight with an entire mythology that he has zero vested interest or knowledge

I don't think Dinklage is ever doing anything video game related again.

Been playing on PS4. I didn’t give a damn about it before playing the beta, because I was so sure I going to get Overwatch and there’s no way I have enough time to sink into TWO games of such similar types. After playing a few nights Battleborn has really surprised me (not that I had any expectations to begin with).

Sorry, that’s only half the thought I meant to post(got interrupted at work and now I’ve totally lost that train of thought). Probably something along the lines of the generic caricatures of people groups being marked as the "bad guys". I promise I had a lot more to get into but probably not while trying to work.

I had very similar questions around Wolfenstein when the reboot came out a few years back. A game that was released in Germany under the conditions that all the overt Nazi symbols changed to generic Wolfenstein logos. Which was completely laughable because all character models, architecture and atmosphere screams

Thanks for the transcript! There's so much in there to digest and appreciate I'll have to reread it tonight. I'll tweet at him later but tell Ta-Nehisi huge thanks for being so candid. What a great interview!

Awesome! Thanks Evan!

Great article... now all I want in life is a podcast or youtube channel of just Evan and Ta-Nehisi talking about comics.

Creativity very rarely comes from a mirror, unless you're a narcissus. By and large inspiration comes from wanting to explore and internalize things that are beyond one's self. Whether that be a compelling landscape, another person or another culture. Biographies are not creative and self portraits get real boring

I sure hope you didn’t spill you snifter of brandy while typing out your obnoxiously smug comment. If the creator of the video took the time to do the research, shoot and edit the video, then ethically they should be able to receive the benefits. Be it views, likes, subs that could contribute to their channel and

I don't remember being all that interested in the 2099's. With the one exception of Punisher 2099. He wore no mask but had some future tech that made his face appear as a pixel Punisher skull when viewed though cameras. And because it was the future everything was viewed through cameras, thus making it a super

Jubilee is the best! After seeing Supersonic Teenage Warhead (?) in Deadpool I am again disappointed we never got a Jubilee solo title. I longed for the day that she got break out of her side kick rolls and be the badass protégé of Wolverine. I wrote that story a hundred times in my head when I was a kid.

Bachelo had unique exaggerated but nuanced style that was really refreshing after the typical 90's comics. Bachelo, Madureira, Ramos became the names I would look for on the cover. Even if I wasn't invested in the story line of the book I always loved the art in those panels.

Holy hell, you're right! I remember Bachelo had some interesting takes drawing her! Its all coming back to me now.

Domino was amazing. I remember liking Deathbird's style but never saw that character in anything that fleshed out what she was all about.

I'm glad someone already asked. I spent way to long trying to associate your profile name with what might translate to a board game...

I'm not listening! I'm not listening! la la la la la I'm not listening!

Really great article Evan! You excellently framed every aspect of Inhumans, Marvel, Ellis and Karnak perfectly. Really appreciate how you broke this down.

At first I was surprised to see Patrick covering this game, then I remember that Patrick has a lot more "sports entertainment" in his future.
