Pending and grays were implemented because trolls were posting violent porn images to Jezebel. It wasn’t “silencing people of differing opinions” so much as putting up a firewall to keep out potential douchebags until they’d proved they weren’t douchebags.

Oh yeah. Raking.

There used to be plenty. It used to be that you’d get a lot of assholes saying “leave the politics out of it,” “why’s this on Jalopnik?’ etc etc etc. Seems they’ve either piped the fuck down and learned not to click on the articles that are obviously critical of Dear Leader or have come to the realization that he’s a

Yeah but the G-Wagen to me and most non car people too is a known commodity.

Hasn’t Patrick been here like eight weeks? “Typical” lol. He’s an old NYC hand already?

Yeah duh. I guess you don’t have to be the sharpest tool in the box to be an NFL player, but I am suspicious of the agent. I’m betting his cousin has  Benz dealership. The freaking Levante isn’t even visually appealing. It’s just another SUV.

Interestingly, I recently worked on a marketing campaign for Maserati, and had a holy HELL of a time convincing the rest of the agency people I was working with that the brand was at Audi/Porsche level, not Lamborghini/Ferrari. They’re still very much in that world in non-car-people’s minds.

Nothing bad in those texts (they are not sexts in the least) at all. Grow the fuck up and stop hating, sniping and demeaning. It should be beneath you.

Of course the 3 has an “interior.” You don’t sit on the outside. It just doesn’t have a conventional dash.

No she categorically and constitutionally cannot. The monarchy doesn’t have that kind of power at all. Also traditionally the queen doesn’t speak out on political issues no matter her own POV, to avoid any perception of her trying to undercut the party in power.

My Flex Limited is a nicer, better appointed place to spend time in than my Audi A6 was. Perforated leather, soft-touch leather-textured vinyl and lustrous plastic wood on the dash, great ergonomic stitched leather steering wheel, nice linen-esque fabrics on the pillars and headliner.

Get used to it. As cars continue down the road (badum tiss) to autonomy dashboards and interiors are going to be more and more like the Tesla 3. Driver interation will continue to evolve, and huge, clustered dashes with a million switches and dials will be a thing of the past.

This. I like it a lot. I’d rather this trend continues (and I expect it will). I prefer the Tesla 3 direction over something that looks like the flight deck of a 747, and as cars continue to become more autonomous it’s a natural evolution of UI.

I have been liking the Explorer’s current iteration.

It doesn’t bother me in the least. I don’t mind that it stands proud of the dash, and it means the dash doesn’t have to be so monolithic.

Loved this when I first saw it this morning. I didn’t listen to any of the sound. Was there a chase copter filming?

TBH the brakes’ll probably last 400k miles anyway. The math holds up. I didn’t need to replace the brakes my Flex (equally heavy but conventionally powered) until just short of 100k miles. The figures I’ve read is you’ll get anything from five to nine times as many miles from the Telsa’s brakes under normal use. Conser

Did go YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo?

All the krillz.

I think I’ve figured it out. He’ll use undocumented laborers to build the wall and pay them half-rate off the books, so because they’re “Mexican” (ie Guatemalan, Ecuadoran, Salvadoran but who cares) and we get twice the bang-for-buck so that means Mexico paid for the wall, and he’s a construction-inDUStry stable
